No Removal Gym Ruling
Hello,
Gen 1 decks that don't use Energy Removal cards struggle. Even if your deck contains 4 Rocket's Sneak Attack, 4 Rocket's Trap and 3 No Removal Gym, The player using Energy Removal Cards always has the advantage. I haven't got a huge problem with this but I think the format as a whole would be much better if No Removal Gym received an update to boost it's ability to block Energy Removal/ Super Energy Removal cards.
The ruling I think would work best is as follows:-
A player must discard 2 from his or her hand and then flip a coin and get heads in order to play an Energy Removal or Super Energy Removal card. If tails, the ER or SER played goes straight to it's owners discard pile with no effect. (after discarding 2 cards from their hand)
Updating this rule will mean decks that were not playable will become so and it will also cause people who run Energy Removal Cards to add other Stadium cards to counter No Removal Gym. In all it adds another dimension to Gen 1 and will make the format as a whole more complete and competitive.
